Privacy Policy and Cookies
1. General Rules
1.1. The GRIFFINS Privacy Policy shall be governed by the new General Data Protection Regulation which came into force on 25 May 2018.
1.2. The purchase, payment, delivery and online marketing process is only possible through the customer’s personal data upon purchase.
1.3. The GRIFFINS brand, in the person of its owner, Nuno Miguel da Costa Gil, holder of Tax Identification Number 221640533, headquartered at Rua Vale de São Martinho, n.º 3 r/c dto, 2710-402 Sintra, Portugal, is responsible for processing the its customers’ personal data (data subjects) pursuant to Portuguese and European Legislation.
1.4. GRIFFINS only requests from its customers such information as is strictly necessary for carrying out the order payment and delivery process, as well as communicating information regarding marketing events (emails related to campaigns, promotions or news).
1.5. Personal information subject to computerised processing, in compliance with data protection legislation, is not transmitted to third parties under any circumstances, with the exception of transportation companies (CTT in Portugal and DHL/UPS in other countries) and payment processing entities (PayPal and Ifthenpay) hired by GRIFFINS.
1.6. Data requested is the following:
- Full name
- Full address
- Taxpayer identification number
- Telephone number
1.7. GRIFFINS undertakes to ensure that information concerning its customers is secure, using all physical, electronic and administrative procedures in such a way as to safeguard the information collected.
1.8. Since the correct operation of the site and safeguarding of the data contained therein is in GRIFFINS’ interest, the latter cannot be held responsible for any computer hacking and consequent improper use of the information.
1.9. The customer will be notified in the event of any breach of their personal data.
2. Rights of the Personal Data Subject
2.1. Pursuant to legislation in force, the personal data subject has the right to alter their data, oppose its processing, withdraw their consent and exercise further rights set forth by law, except when the data processing is in order to comply with legal obligations.
2.2. Any change in personal data should be communicated via the email info@griffins-unisex.com or by post to the following address:

2.3. The request must include the following:
- full name
- email address used for account creation and purchase
- right(s) intended to be exercised
2.4. Exercise of rights is free of charge for situations provided for by law.
3. Personal Data Retention Period
3.1 GRIFFINS shall retain the customer’s personal data for such period as is necessary to fulfil legal duties associated with the service provided.
3.2. GRIFFINS has the right to update its Privacy Policy whenever legislative changes occur.
4. How Cookies Work
4.1. Cookies are small text and archive files received on your computer or other mobile device while browsing websites. Websites use cookies to store and retrieve information about the browsing preferences of internet users.
4.2. By using cookies to identify the pages visited, data concerning the user's traffic is analysed and the user can determine when they visited a particular website.
4.3. Cookies enable monitoring of how a site is being used, and thus improve service in accordance with the customer’s needs.
5. Deactivation of Cookies
5.1. Browsers automatically accept cookies, but the user can enable or block them by means of the browser settings.
